Dear Members of the House Energy Committee:
My name is Courtney Griffin, and I am the Director of Consumer Product Safety for the Consumer Federation of America (CFA). Founded in 1968, CFA is one of the nation’s largest consumer organizations working in the consumer interest through research, advocacy and education. CFA represents over 200 national, state and local groups. For more than 20 years, CFA has supported and promoted cost-effective energy and water efficiency policies and practices at the federal, state and local levels. I am submitting testimony on behalf of CFA in strong support of HB 660, “An Act providing for minimum energy and water efficiency standards for certain products sold in this Commonwealth.” This bill represents a crucial step towards a more sustainable and cost-effective future for Pennsylvania residents.
