Auto Sales/Service

Many consumers rely on cars and trucks for transportation to work, school, shopping, and recreational activities. CFA believes that consumers have the right to be treated fairly and honestly when they purchase vehicles and have them repaired. CFA supports mandatory disclosures, requirements to repair known safety defects prior to sale, lemon laws, and other measures that protect consumers when they buy new or used vehicles. CFA also supports strong laws and industry practices to ensure that auto repairs are made correctly and that consumers are not charged for unauthorized or unnecessary work.
