Consumer Protection

Fraud

Government agencies must have the authority and resources to take vigorous action against consumer fraud, while businesses have a responsibility to prevent fraudulent operators from abusing their services to solicit consumers and obtain their payments. CFA promotes public awareness about fraud and works with government, industry, and consumer organizations to encourage the development and use of effective anti-fraud strategies.
