Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau works to protect consumers in the financial marketplace by educating them about their banking and credit choices, enforcing critical consumer protections and preventing unfair or unsafe protects from undermining consumers’ financial health. CFA works to ensure that the Bureau remains at the center of the national effort to prevent abusive financial practices and has the information, independent funding and leadership structure it needs to ensure that consumers have every chance to safely borrow, save and build assets.
