Groups Allege TikToK Continues to Violate Children’s Privacy

A complaint filed at the Federal Trade Commission today by twenty organizations, including CFA, alleges that the popular app TikTok is continuing to collect the personal information of kids under age 13 without their parents’ consent and engaging in other violations of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, despite having entered into a settlement last year with the FTC that required the company to pay more than $5 million and change its practices to comply with the law.
