Government Surveillance

CFA believes that government surveillance activities, whether conducted directly or in cooperation with third parties, must comply with individuals’ privacy and other constitutional rights. While recognizing the essential role of government in keeping the public safe, CFA supports laws and policies that protect the privacy of individuals’ communications, locations, and associations and that provide for accountability and due process.
