Washington, D.C. — On May 10th and 11th, the Consumer Federation of America will bring together consumer, government, industry, and public policy leaders to discuss and debate the most critical consumer issues in today’s political and economic environment.  For 52 years, CFA’s Consumer Assembly has served as the consumer movement’s principal meeting where the latest consumer issues are reviewed, policy reforms are discussed, and new initiatives are presented.

Consumer Assembly provides an excellent forum for the media to hear from, and talk to, consumer experts about the current congressional priorities, consumer protections and the role of civil penalties in enforcing them, states attempts to protect consumers, auto sales abuses, net neutrality, product safety, preventing robocalls, FinTech, autonomous vehicles, grassroots advocacy, the threat of data breaches, and the future of the digital electric grid.

Consumer Assembly 2018 will feature:

  • Special panels with a broad array of consumer, academic, government, and industry experts.
  • An extraordinary opportunity for media to ask questions of key public policymakers and meet with the largest gathering of consumer advocates in America.
