Ethan Weiland is a Research Associate for the Consumer Federation of America, where he leverages data to inform CFA’s various issue areas. He is passionate about data science for the public good.
Prior to working at CFA, Ethan was a graduate student at Indiana University – Bloomington, where he earned an M.A. in Sociology (2023) and a M.S. in Applied Statistics (2024). His academic research measured debt and financial distress among young American adults. Additionally, he taught Introduction to Sociology.
Ethan lives in Maryland and outside of work he is interested in soccer, cooking, chess, and running.
