Over 100 Advocacy Groups Urge Congress to Move COPPA 2.0 Forward
CFA joined a letter to the House Energy & Commerce Committee, urging it to give the Children and Teens’ Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA 2.0, H.R. 7890) a markup. The letter asks the Committee to move COPPA 2.0 as a standalone bill to a markup before the full Committee. With precious few weeks remaining in this legislative session and urgently needed reform, it is imperative that the Committee prioritize common sense privacy protections for children and teens by moving H.R. 7890 as originally introduced.
