CFA and the Appliance Standards Awareness Project submitted comments to the Department of Energy in support of the Direct Final Rule for miscellaneous refrigeration products.  The standard is consensus-based, provides pocketbook savings for consumers, is based on a rigorous cost-benefit analysis and is technological feasible and economically justified.
