National Food Policy Conference: The 44th Annual National Food Policy Conference took place on October 5 and 6, 2021. The second-ever virtual event was attended by 221 people on day one, and 158 people on day two, who heard from speakers including USDAs Sandra Eskin, Congresswoman Grace Meng, FDAs Dr. Susan Mayne & Dr. Janet Woodcock and Congresswoman Alma Adams. Conference sessions included discussions about the consumer landscape post-COVID, nutrition security, fighting the climate crisis, and what food workers need. Financial Services Conference: On December 8 and 9, CFA held its 34th Annual Financial Services Conference virtually. On December 8, 258 people and on December 9, 360 people heard speakersincluding Acting Comptroller of the Currency Michael Hsu, CFPB Director Rohit Chopra, CFPB Assistant Director for Enforcement Eric Halperin, FHFA Acting Director Sandra Thompson, and HSFC Chairwoman Maxine Waters. CFAs 34th annual Financial Services Conference focused on a myriad of innovations in the financial marketplace and how best to balance consumer protection, competition, and innovation. Panels focused on cryptocurrency, fintech loan products, person-to-person payment systems, and telematics in auto insurance.
