Consumer Groups Support CPSC Proposed Safety Standard for Baby Changing Products

CFA TC

In comments to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, CFA, Kids in Danger, and Consumers Union express their support for the proposed safety standard for baby changing products. The proposed rule adopts the voluntary standard ASTM F2388-16 with modified requirements for structural integrity, restraint system integrity, and warnings on labels and in instructional literature. In addition to the warning label modifications suggested by CPSC, the groups suggest the inclusion of pictograms to more fully convey the hazards addressed in the warnings.
