Safe Food Coalition letter to USDA Secretary Vilsack on Mechanically Tenderized Beef

CFA TC

The Safe Food Coalition (SFC) strongly agrees with Secretary Vilsack’s comments to the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture on February 25 that we should implement the final rule on the labeling of mechanically tenderized (MT) beef in 2016. The rule is currently at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for a final review, but we are hopeful that it will be returned to USDA soon.
