Historic: Over 100 National & State Organizations Join Together in Opposition to Trump Nominee
Washington, D.C. – In a historic show of solidarity, over 100 consumer and environmental groups joined together in opposition to Nancy Beck, the Trump Administration's nominee to chair the Consumer Product Safety Commission. In their letter, the groups highlight four key areas in which they have concerns about Beck's record:
- Beck’s record on PFAS is troubling,
- Beck’s implementation of TSCA has been rejected by Federal Courts and scientific peer reviewers,
- Beck’s work has been criticized for distorting science and undermining health protections,
- And, Beck played a role in suppressing CDC guidelines, continuing a career-long trend.
