Consumer Groups Ask FTC to Investigate Tech Companies Nudging Users to Choose Less Privacy-Friendly Options

In a letter to the Federal Trade Commission, consumer groups including CFA urge the Commission to investigate the misleading and manipulative tactics of the dominant digital platforms in the United States, which steer users to “consent” to privacy-invasive default settings.
