Consumer Federation of America Urges Quick Implementation of Washington State's Premium Change Transparency Rule
The Consumer Federation of America urged the quick implementation of Phase 2 of Washington State's premium change transparency rule, which requires insurance companies to automatically notify consumers of the reasons for premium increases that are 10% or greater.
The rulemaking process for this requirement has already provided ample opportunity for input and provided insurers with plenty of time to prepare for this. Washington consumers need clear information about the reasons for premium increases, and implementation should move forward as previously scheduled.
