Consumer and Privacy Groups Call on Senate Commerce Committee to Invite Consumer Privacy Experts to Upcoming Hearing
In a letter to Senators Thune and Nelson of the Senate Commerce Committee, consumer and privacy groups asked for six consumer privacy experts to be invited to testify in an upcoming hearing on the topic. The Commerce Committee recently convened a hearing on consumer privacy which included only industry representatives, resulting in an unnecessarily biased conversation where many consumer issues were simply never mentioned.
