CFA Urges FDA to Prioritize Collection of On-Farm Antibiotic Use Data

Consumer Federation of America submitted comments today in response to the Food and Drug Administration’s request for public input on possible approaches for collecting additional on-farm antimicrobial drug use and resistance data. CFA’s comments urge the FDA to take a more active role in collecting antibiotic use data in order to respond to the growing threat of antibiotic resistant bacteria to food safety.
