CFA Urges CASTF to Oppose Adoption of Draft Actuarial Standards of Practice
In comments to the NAIC Casualty Actuarial and Statistical Task Force, Consumer Federation of America Director of Insurance J. Robert Hunter requests that CASTF oppose adoption of the Draft Actuarial Standards of Practice (ASOP). Noting that proper regulation is impossible under the terms of the Draft ASOP, CFA warns that the Draft puts consumers at great risk of being charged unfair and excessive rates.
