CFA supports New York Bills to Protect Personal Data Collected in Response to COVID-19

Consumer Federation of America joined other consumer and privacy groups in a statement sent to New York lawmakers supporting legislation that would protect the privacy and security of personal data collected in the course of contact tracing, screening or other activities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The bills also prohibit discriminatory use of the data.
