CFA Joins Consumer, Environmental Advocates in Calling for a National Registry of Gene-Edited Plants
CFA and its partners filed the following comments in response to a request from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy for information related to regulation of biotechnology. The comments urge federal regulators to establish a national registry of commercialized gene-edited plants. As the comments explain, the proposed registry will help to meet consumer preferences, avoid international trade disputes, and facilitate adoption of beneficial technologies.
