WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congress passed The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act. The House and Senate approved the bill with bipartisan support. The Consumer Federation of America made the following statement:

“Buying a home has rarely been more unaffordable than it is today. The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act takes important steps to tackle our historic housing crisis, including by expanding mortgage access for small mortgages, and improving long-standing federal housing programs and grants,” said Sharon Cornelissen, Director of Housing at the Consumer Federation of America. “The Consumer Federation of America is thrilled to see Congress take meaningful bipartisan action on an issue that impacts every community across America.”
