2018 ANNUAL REPORT 17 2018 ANNUAL REPORT STATE AND LOCAL RESOURCE CENTER With the support of the Colston Warne Program of Consumer Reports, CFA’s State and Local Resource Center provided technical assistance and resources to state and local member groups, including: • State/local listserv and periodic informational emails. • Consumer Issue Briefings on broadband privacy legislation in the states, how to use the FTC’s consumer complaint database, NAFTA renegotiations and potential impacts on American consumers, and virtual currencies. • Grants for travel and lodging to 82 state and local activists to participate in the second annual Consumer Lobby Day. • Grants for travel and lodging to dozens of state and local leaders to participate in Consumer Assembly, National Food Policy Conference, Financial Services Conference, and the High-Cost Lending Summit. • Small grants to 15 state and local groups for building organizational capacity and to another five state based groups in support of the fuel efficiency standards. • A larger grant to one state group for auto insurance advocacy.
