CFA Offers Vermont Leaders Suggestions for Protecting the Privacy of Vermonters
In comments submitted to Vermont Attorney General Thomas J. Donovan, Jr. and Vermont Department of Public Service Commissioner June E. Tierney, CFAÂ applauds the State of Vermont for its interest in protecting the privacy of its residents. The comments include information on a number of privacy initiatives, including broadband privacy. It is crucial for states to act in this area, as they did in regard to data breach notification, since Congress has not done so and the authority of the Federal Trade Commission to address privacy issues is very limited.
