Ken Nolan is General Manager of Vermont Public Power Supply Authority (VPPSA), a joint action agency serving eleven member municipal electric utilities in Vermont, and several affiliated municipal and cooperative utilities in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. He has 33 years of experience in the New England local government and electric utility arenas. In addition to his duties at VPPSA, Nolan serves on the Board of Directors for VEPP Inc., a nonprofit created to manage Vermont’s implementation of the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978; the Board of Directors of Vermont Electric Power Company, the sole transmission provider in Vermont which is wholly owned by Vermont’s distribution utilities; and the Board of Directors of HomeTown Connections Inc., a national nonprofit entity owned by six Joint Action Agencies and charged with supporting public power utilities throughout the country. He also serves on the regulatory policy committee of the Transmission Access Policy Study Group and is Chair of the regulatory committee of the Northeast Public Power Association.
